About Us
Filthy Leather Co was born on the streets, inspired by the motorcycles we build and the open roads that lead to nowhere. It’s a story about chasing freedom, pushing boundaries, and crafting motorcycle goods that are more than just "super OK" they’re made for the ride.
Our journey started in late 2017, when founder Phil walked away from his career as a FIFO rigger in search of something real. Just four days later, he was on a flight chasing adrenaline across Canada’s snowfields and the winding roads of Hawaii on a Harley.
Back in Australia, the journey continued solo riding around the country on a BMW F800GS, then living off the grid in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. But after a short, uninspiring return to local work, the world shut down. It was 2020, and like many others, Phil found himself unemployed.
Driven by the support of the motorcycle community, we’ve grown into a brand that offers protective clothing, riding accessories, leather care, and more all designed to fill the gaps in the motorcycle lifestyle. Most of our products are still proudly designed and made in Shellharbour, on the South Coast of NSW.
